Old Antarctic Explorer, Bruce DeWald, will present a fast-paced account covering all U.S. aircraft that have flown in Antarctica, from “EVA” in 1902, to present. Come and see amazing photographs of over SIXTY military and civil, fixed and rotary wing aircraft that the U.S. have operated in Antarctica, including a few Canadian aircraft for authenticity. Old Antarctic Explorer De Wald Wintered Over at McMurdo Station, Antarctica in Operation DEEP FREEZE 63 & 66 and returned to the “ICE” for Summer Support in DEEP FREEZE 72 & 73. Tram Docent DeWald was a Special Air Crew (Weather & Ice Observer) for nearly three years on the “ICE” and keeps up on aviation in Antarctica.
